Since we have an array of student needs we hire different types of tutors. You are eligible if you are:
- A university student who has teaching/tutoring experience.
- A person with a Canadian university degree and teaching/tutoring experience.
- A BC certified teacher.
- A person with a masters degree and teaching experience.
- An ESL teacher with a TESL or CELTA certificate or the equivalent.
Certification must include at least 100 hours of classroom instruction and 20 hours of practicum.
Anyone who applies as a tutor must have a passion for helping students and must have successful teaching or tutoring experience. Applicants must be willing to undergo a criminal record check and must provide 2 references related to teaching. We will also need a copy of your educational degrees, diplomas and certificates.
